I got these because my IP was having steam come out from around the lid. The only reason I could think of that that was happening was that maybe my old ring wasn't fitting good anymore because I checked it for cracks and tears and their wasn't any. I found some other seals on Walmart that were cheaper but since they were "off" brands I wasn't sure how well they would work. So, I decided it was better to just buy IP brand. After I got them I immediately took out the old one and measured it against the new one. It was definitely more "stretched out" than the new one and when I out the new one in it fit so much better than the older one did. I then decided to test one of the new ones out buy putting 2 cups of vinegar in my IP (it needed a good cleaning) and putting it on high pressure for 2 min. After my IP came to pressure there was no longer any steam coming out from around the lid! All in all I am very satisfied with these rings so far!
