Worth the purchase!

Wonderful to have two different colored rings! I got these for my 8 quart instant pot. We cook a lot of meat in there and plan on doing yogurt too. So red ring for meat and blue for only dairy. The ring that comes with the pot will be for miscellaneous dishes.

Does what you need it to, fits the Nova version.

I have the 3qt Nova. I was worried these wouldn't fit since they look different, but everything works as expected. It has an unpleasant smell when cooking.

  • Fit in my 6qt perfectly so now have multiple for different scented foods

seal fixed in my review

Old seal started to leak under pressure, causing a horrible high pitch noise. A new seal fixed it, easy fix. Instant Pot.

Fantastic Fix for Leaky Instant Pot

I didn't even know the seals went bad, so I was happy to see that these were available. They work great and my instapot is good to go again.

Pros
  • Fit slightly looser than original but it seals and have not had any problems.
Cons
  • The Clear Sealing Ring is not dishwasher safe

MUST HAVE! good for me

Remember when you first bought your pressure cooker and how excited you were to use it? Then when you washed it, you noticed a certain unpleasant smell somewhere in the kitchen? It is/was the sealing ring on the lid! They don't tell you that in the TV promotions. The rubber holds the odors of whatever you cook and trust me when I say that odor reeks. No matter how much you clean it, the smell stays. This replacement set of seals is a life saver, not to mention a smell destroyer. I use one color

Great replacement to my old, original ring!

I got these because my IP was having steam come out from around the lid. The only reason I could think of that that was happening was that maybe my old ring wasn't fitting good anymore because I checked it for cracks and tears and their wasn't any. I found some other seals on Walmart that were cheaper but since they were "off" brands I wasn't sure how well they would work. So, I decided it was better to just buy IP brand. Replace this Seal at least Once a Year. The consequences are not worth it.

If the seal goes there's an explosion of interior contents that goes off very violently. It goes everywhere in the kitchen. The liquid can also take out your Instant Pot. Liquid finds it's way into the inside of the Instant Pot where the electronics are. Just replace the seal. This not a part that you want to see how long it lasts. I suggest replace once a year. There's no way to tell if the seal is worn out.

I think they're great

I saw quite a few unfavorable reviews about how these didn't fit. Mine fit perfectly on my 6 qt. I appreciate having them in colors so I can keep foods that leave a scent with the red and things that are mild with blue.

Original manufacturer's product

I love my Instant Pot. I thought I should have an extra set of sealing rings on hand, just in case. These are original IP rings. Perfect fit, no odor out of the box.
