Replace this Seal at least Once a Year. The consequences are not worth it.
If the seal goes there's an explosion of interior contents that goes off very violently. It goes everywhere in the kitchen. The liquid can also take out your Instant Pot. Liquid finds it's way into the inside of the Instant Pot where the electronics are. Just replace the seal. This not a part that you want to see how long it lasts. I suggest replace once a year. There's no way to tell if the seal is worn out.
- The seals that came with the insta pot wore out quickly. These are better quality, work perfectly.
