I strongly advise you to stay away from these fans. I only bought them to get the remote control because I lost the ones that came with my Cullin MX case and this set comes with the same remote control. However, this is one of the many problems. Patented fan cables that only work with the controller, you can't connect them to your mobile device directly. There is no speed controller as again nothing is connected to the mobile device. In some cases, like mine, you can plug the speed part into the case's fan speed switch, but even that doesn't work half the time. No custom RGB, you're stuck again with what you're stuck with on the remote. If you lose your remote, good luck, you're stuck in a full rainbow. Fans will reset to rainbow after every reboot, wake up from sleep, whatever reset, best have this remote handy. The only good thing is that they actually look good with some options, but they're not worth it. I've replaced them with RGB fans that have standard 4-pin PWM headers and 3-pin RGB cables and I'm very happy with my purchase.
