The trimmer is shipped in a well lined carton to prevent damage in transit. The box contains a case with a trimmer and accessories. The trimmer comes with a charging cable, several combs, a small bottle of lubricating oil, a nose hair trimmer and an instruction manual. As stated in the manual, I fully charged the trimmer before using it. During the loading process I read the instructions. Some of the images in the guide are low quality, but I was able to understand the basics with no problems. The manual applies to several different models, therefore some of the accessories shown and described in the manual are not included. After the trimmer was fully charged, I attached a comb of the appropriate length to it and started using it. The trimmer is a bit noisy due to the suction motor. However, the trimmer is quite sharp and cuts the hair smoothly and evenly. The vacuum proved to be quite efficient and picked up most of the hair clippings. There was a little hair loss, but I found that most of the hair loss happened after the vacuum was completely filled with hair and there was no room for hair. I then emptied the container before continuing to use the product and the cleaner worked fine again. The trimmer is quite light but a bit clunky. This can make it difficult for those with small hands to hold and/or manipulate. Also, the vacuum ports are positioned in such a way that your hands tend to cover all or part of them while holding the trimmer. This didn't seem to affect the vacuum's efficiency. Once you've trimmed your entire length, you can remove the comb and use the trimmer blades to contour your beard or scalp in detail. I use a scalp trimmer and a trimmer without a comb was able to remove excess hair on my neck and around my ears. Cleaning was also very easy. In most cases it is not necessary to clean the area where you used the trimmer as the vacuum works quite well. The vacuum chamber is easy to clean and empty. The trimmer comes with a stiff brush to clean the vacuum chamber, a trimming blade and a comb. Unfortunately, the trimmer is not waterproof, so it cannot be washed under running water. However, you can clean the combs and cleaning brush under running water after using the trimmer. Because of the ease of use and maintenance, you can easily use this trimmer every day or every few days. The battery is quite powerful and can last through several haircuts before needing to be recharged. There is no risk of overcharging the battery, so you can also charge it after each use to ensure there is always enough charge for your next haircut. The trimmer can also be used while charging, although the cord makes it more inconvenient to use. Overall, this trimmer offers very good value for money. Initially I was more interested in the trimming function than the suction function, but after seeing how well the vacuum works and how much more comfortable the trimmer is to use, I can't imagine going back to a trimmer without such a function. . Based on my experience with the trimmer I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a clipper. Update 02/15/2020: This trimmer has become a white elephant. The trimmer head is held in place by cheap plastic tabs, one of which broke off for no other reason than being cheap and of very poor quality. I haven't even removed the head from the trimmer so shouldn't have been bothered by disassembly and reassembly etc. Now the head wobbles and no longer delivers a clean cut. Sometimes it falls completely out of the trimmer. Please see attached photos of broken trimmer head blades. Anyway, I email Val about it and after over a week no response. There is not even a confirmation that they received my letter. This company DOES NOT MAKE A QUALITY PRODUCT AND DOES NOT RESPOND FOR ITS PRODUCTS. The return period has expired so I can't do anything about it, but I will never buy a Wahl product again.
