Review on Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art DG HSM Lens for πŸ“· Nikon - Black - 3.7 x 3.03 x 3.03 (Model 340306) by Athit Nivongsa ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

The most important thing, for me, in this glass is the pattern and color. Very similar to Carl Zeiss Pancolar MC 50 1.8. But the German is manual, without AF. As for focusing, I was ready to buy a docking station. When checking (daylight, tripod, target) revealed back focus. In the camera (Nikon d750) I made an amendment - 8. That's it, the "problem" is solved. Docking station is not needed. Who does not have fine tuning in the camera, you can buy a station. I read from someone that the adjustment changes from lighting (complete nonsense), or it smears either the back or the front - this is no longer glass, but the photographer is to blame, or rather, his crooked hands. By the way, I have the same correction on my relatives 50 1.4 and 85 1.8. On the first -10, on the second +5. Every lens with a camera needs precise correction. Sigma is no different from Nikon in this regard.

Pros
  • + build quality and materials + appearance, design + silent + drawing and color rendition + accurate, fast focus + minimal distortion - + Inexpensive compared to native.
Cons
  • - no water protection in the mount (+ produces accuracy) - heavy, for men's hands (+ instead of dumbbells)
