The threads on the thermostat housing were stripped and my choice for the repair was to get a different manifold (replace by myself), remove the manifold for easier access (it's a 318 in a Dodge van) or on-site repairs. The first 2 did not start due to the time and effort involved. With option 3, I had limited space at the top for the drill to drill out the stripped threads. Luckily I had a right angle adapter for my drill, but the drill kept jamming. So I found the smallest drill bit that would fit the hole, started with the next size up and was able to drill the hole bit by bit (literally) to the right size for threading. You may need a 21/64" bit with this coil pack as it is not included. Since I had limited tapping space, using a standard tap holder wouldn't work at all. So I decided on a ratchet. by installing a 3/8" socket on it. You need a 12 pin NT, a 6 pin will not work properly. Voila! Threaded hole, the coil goes in easily, the thermostat housing is sealed (with the "Right Material" - good stuff!), all right.
