Poor quality
I would not recommend this item. It must be bolted to a solid platform. I don't recommend using it as a freestanding reel seat as the base is lightweight and made out of cheap thin bent metal. In the end I removed the subframe, sawed off the screw and tightened the nut directly. This allowed me to lower the center of gravity and make it usable. I may not modify the product to make it useful.
