Review on πŸ“Ί ONKRON NP24 Black TV Wall Mount: Tilt Swivel for 17” – 43” LCD LED Screens, Max 77 lbs by Robert Gilbert

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not suitable for small Samung TVs and use caution when screwing into standard 2x4 wall studs.

Bought this for a gym; It will fit a 32-inch TV for now, and then a 40 or 42-inch if we upgrade our upstairs TV. I placed it so a 50 inch TV would fit if I ever get one. Component inputs on a 32" Samsung TV and many other smaller TVs. I had to use a dremel to cut the mounting bracket so we could still connect older hardware. The advantage of this type of mount is that the TV detaches easily from the wall and you should be able to connect the cables more easily than if you had a traditional wall mount. Attaching the Dremel to the mount just so you can plug in an old kids' Wii defeats the purpose of easy access. They screw into the wall, has three pairs of holes at the top and bottom. If you have 2x4 studs you can only use the three middle holes to attach it to the wall. The holes along the outside do not go into the studs. The three center holes should hold the TV well, but if you're not careful someone could miss the rivets. Finally, you must be careful when tightening the supplied screws. I snapped the head off one while tightening it. I suspect that the screws are not the best. Overall the mount seems solid for a 32" TV, I'll wait for the HDMI cables to arrive before trying the cable management system, but that was the main reason I bought this mount. I will update when I'm done installing.

Pros
  • Cable management clip keeps display cables hidden and plastic cover hides all attachment points for a clean look
Cons
  • Very expensive
