Sticking Trigger

I'm by no means an airbrush specialist, if I had I'd probably buy more expensive. I had intentions of buying an inexpensive airbrush to model ships and crafts for my wife. My biggest issue with this airbrush is that the trigger feels like it has sand in it. This makes it difficult to control the amount of paint applied. I tried to fix the problem by first making sure the trigger/valve assembly was properly assembled. It was. Then I applied airbrush lube. Still felt gritty. Upon closer inspection, I found the problem; the interior is almost unfinished. No doubt this is how Paasche keeps the price down. Using a combination of miniature needle files and sandpaper, I was able to minimally improve the functionality of the mechanism. I have to admit that Paasche improved the look of this airbrush over their older models; it is immaculately polished, scaled down and laser engraved. If they put that much effort into the internals (which you can't tell) this could be a great buy. My advice: if you're looking for a cheap airbrush, buy the cheapest badger; At least the trigger works fine.
