I bought this because I needed a special clock radio. In that aspect it doesn't disappoint - it's beautiful. Radio functionality is a different story. The radio frequency is not easy to set as I wasn't sure if I had set it correctly. The dial is hard to read so I had to listen to a different radio to make sure I was getting the right station. The radio on/off button is small and in an odd position and when pressed there is a slight delay before you hear the radio (on OR off). The sound of the radio is cheap and tinny. I know it's not premium sound, but it doesn't sound any better than the 1975 clock radio it replaces. I leave it out because it doesn't need to be moved and the station stays the same. I haven't tried the alarm clock (and I don't have to).
