You can bolt it to the frame but I also used 4 heavy duty zip ties to attach it to the rear struts. Fairly heavy weight/construction on par with other cheaper Dutch style ringlocks I've seen. The chain is very long and, to be honest, a bit much. Attaches to the ring lock on the side opposite where the key is inserted. I honestly would have gone for the cable version of this lock if I knew the chain weighed the same. Works fine with a small amount of WD-40.
