This could be a good frame lock but the chain is incredibly heavy and the key cannot be removed from the lock when it is in the open position. You have to drive with the keys hanging on the back of the lock.

Key is designed to stay in when unlocking. So you don't lose the key! If you want the key, lock the bike! The key will NOT fall off when unlocked. People who complain about the key not being locked are a bit slow to understand the design.

I know how these locks work - I use them on bikes that I often ride in the Netherlands. That's not the quality I use there. It has just passed the return deadline as it has only been used for a few weeks. The key can hardly be removed when locked. You have to lock and unlock multiple times and wiggle the bundle. Should only be removable when latch is down. Don't waste money. Spend more and get AXA.

Couldn't be used on my trike, diameter too small for the main lock shackle. Fitting the lock to the bike frame is a little flimsy for a security device in my opinion, as long as the lock is inside the frame triangle it still works but for those fitted outside the frame triangle (some may require improper fitting) . frame) you will come back to find that your lock has been ripped off the frame if it hasn't been stolen.

You can bolt it to the frame but I also used 4 heavy duty zip ties to attach it to the rear struts. Fairly heavy weight/construction on par with other cheaper Dutch style ringlocks I've seen. The chain is very long and, to be honest, a bit much. Attaches to the ring lock on the side opposite where the key is inserted. I honestly would have gone for the cable version of this lock if I knew the chain weighed the same. Works fine with a small amount of WD-40.
