My GTX 1080 ti has never been so cool!

I have a Zotac GTX 1080 ti AMP Edition. I have had a cooling problem since purchase; I got support that allowed me to replace the thermal paste without voiding my warranty, which was a minor improvement, but I still hit the 84c temperature limit when playing 4k, it just takes a little more load. I've fiddled with the case fans to optimize airflow, but the problem always stayed with the cooling solution on the card itself. I happened to see several reviews of this device on YouTube and gave it a try and I'm thankful for it. I connected this device to Kraken x42. The installation took about 1.5 hours and that's because when I removed the old cooler/radiator and installed this new one, I made sure that all the elements were carefully processed. I have also upgraded my processor/MoBo so the time for this part of the installation may be a little shorter. There weren't any WTF moments that I can remember; All the parts fit together nicely and the Kraken x42 along with the kept the GPU below 60C at 4k. I often disassemble electronics and assemble computers myself, so I find it very handy to follow the steps required to do so. I'd recommend watching a YouTube video if you're worried about the graphics card tearing. I no longer use thermal throttling, which gave a performance boost when gaming, and I no longer choose to game at 1440p to avoid stressing the GPU with heat. I also chose to use the thermal paste that came with the Kraken x42, I didn't change it to see if there was a difference; Not that I need it, 60c for a 1080 ti at full load is a great running temp - I can now play almost anything at 4k with no worries! Happy with this purchase!
