This works great with 16 AWG solid wire or larger. It can also work well if the ends of the wires are fitted with lacing grommets. However, if you want to use it with strands, this is not the product for you. Maybe everything is fine with a larger caliber like 16-14, but with a smaller one the screw just eats the copper and makes a mess. It may still work, but it won't look professional. Also, the screws tend to fall out if they are unscrewed all the way, which is pretty easy to do with these blocks.
