I don't use it for my alarm clock, so I can't comment on this functionality. I use it as a clock in the bathroom. The display is bright and I can still see it even with a bright strip of light in the bathroom. FM radio works great! I get the best reception from the radio in this bathroom, which is in the basement. I also use a Bluetooth speaker to stream music and listen to audiobooks. The noise level is loud enough even when I'm in the shower. The controls are easy to use even when touched, which is nice because I have it on the top shelf and I can't see the top without removing it. Just switch from FM to BT and back and pairing with my cellphone was a breeze. Again, it works great as a bathroom alarm clock and BT speaker.
