Review on ๐ŸŒฟ Grass Ring for biOrb Aquariums by Satsuki Silva

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I don't even have a biOrb!

I love this product. I bought it because it was aesthetically beautiful and had great reviews and I wasn't disappointed! Not only are the soft leaves beautiful and natural, they don't rip my fragile betta's fins like many other low quality artificial plants. I have a standard 1.5g cube aquarium with a Delta Tail Rooster (Merman) and I will say that even a small ring of grass is quite large. It fills up a large part of the middle. So if you have a tiny tank (less than 1.5g) I wouldn't recommend it. (I'm upgrading to 6 gallons and mixing this decor with real plants so this isn't a problem). I put some sand on the bottom to make it look like it's growing out of the sand. I really like that it's weighted in a ceramic ring - no risk of it popping up and ruining the illusion of a real plant. Another big plus for this biOrb herb ring is that it's hollow in the middle, apparently because it's designed to fit over the biOrb air filter tube. In my non-biOrb tank, the hollow center section serves as a very original "cave" where my betta likes to stay and sleep. It's so overgrown with grass that you can't see the dip in the middle - imagine my first surprise when I looked for Merman and he was nowhere to be found! He ended up floating lazily out of his new hangout in the middle of the hairgrass, it was fun. He loves to. As a tip, it's definitely a good idea to bend the blades slightly the first time you flush them, so they spread throughout the tank. This looks a lot more natural and your fish will enjoy swimming in and out of the leaves. The only downside is that it's really expensive for fake aquarium plants, but the quality and enjoyment of everything is priceless.
