This product looks like very decent quality. It worked flawlessly as one segment of a 4 part daisy chain to connect a 90's Sony digital camcorder with an IEEE FireWire port to a Lenovo Yoga 730 Thunderbolt 3 port. Two of the four segments were Apple products . My Corel Video Studio Ultimate recognized the digital signal immediately and my video loaded flawlessly. The only problem I had was when I first tried to connect FireWire to it. He didn't want to go in. Before I "attempted to put a square pin in a round hole," I carefully examined both parts. This connector has several "ribs" that fit into the FireWire hole and I figured they were just there to hold the wire in place. Firewire snapped in, of course, and was very neat. I decided to just leave it attached as that was its sole purpose!
