Review on Delta Faucet RP25513 Stem Assembly by Robert Ogrodnik

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works great, don't buy replacement parts

I purchased a plastic faucet stem from Home Depot that was not made by Delta but was specified for use with my Delta faucet. Part of the stem was plastic and there was a gap between the stem and the curved plastic pieces surrounding it (stops). Turning the water on and off worked, but the handle wasn't strong once assembled. I was able to bend it back and forth either because of the plastic rod or because of the gap. I bought this Delta build from Revain and it worked great. Very easy to install and makes the handle durable. Since it worked and I knew it was going to be an easy DIY project, I called Delta to send me parts for the rest of my leaky faucets (the whole house is Delta). They were great and sent them to me for free. I should have bought a build to make sure it was what I wanted to do. Also, the Delta RP24096 is the same stem as this RP25513. The 25513 comes with a plastic stop that needs to be placed in the correct position depending on whether you are installing the stem on a hot or cold water faucet (there are some good videos on YouTube). The assembly you remove has a stopper and you can reuse it when you buy the RP24096. When I ordered RP25513 was cheaper than RP24096. Prices can change frequently. You can order any part, so choose the one that costs the least at the time of ordering.
