Review on πŸ”§ 234-4509 Denso O2 Oxygen Sensor - Enhance Engine Optimization with Advanced Technology by Tom Tofte

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I fixed my 2004 Highlander 3.3L

. I got a code (P0420) which is a generic code, I thought my bank 1 converter was faulty but then I realized my car wouldn't stall, stall and shut off so I suspected that there MIGHT be something else, I took the exhaust pipes off to check my converter and when I found no sign of wear I put it back on and went through loads of information with no direct reference to what my ENGINE LIGHTS, VSC and may have caused track lights. When I got my exhaust back I noticed my Bank1 S2 02 sensor was dirty and black with a white stripe. I cleaned it with a wire brush, unaware that these sensors are fragile and shouldn't be touched or they could skew my readings. I'm getting slightly better readings, but I've noticed that the live data from my OBD scanner indicated that the sensor was below its normal standards and was slow to respond when I revved it up to 2000 rpm. After a week of driving my P0420 went away and then it was just a code (P0037) and having messed around with sensor 2 on the bank 1 converter earlier I knew what it was and after replacing the sensor my gas mileage went up regained strength and since then the codes and lights have not returned. I'm a lyft in this car so good gas mileage in cali is a must and seeing how much converter is here is awful it was a cheap fix compared to the thousands for what it doesn't need. Check this out first, if you have the same symptoms as me it will save you a lot of headache
