Review on 🔋 Fiamm 74100 El Grande Battery by George Saunier

These are excellent replacement horns for weak regular horns. However if you are using the supplied relay for a 2 wire installation do not follow the diagram in the packaging. I'm an engineer by training and instead of questioning Fiamm's paper schematic, I hurried and installed things according to the schematic because the manufacturer knows best, right? NOT CORRECT! As stated in several reviews on this product (which I only read after 2 days of fiddling with this installation which should have taken maybe 2 hours), DO NOT MATCH THE CONNECTION BETWEEN TERMINALS 86 AND 30 as shown in the diagram. Terminal 87 must be connected to the Fiamm horns as shown. Terminal 86 should be earthed and terminal 85 should be connected to the wire from your old horn (86 and 85 can be swapped around without damage). Finally, terminal 30 must be connected to the positive pole of the battery via a fuse. Shame on FIAMM for printing and disseminating false information that is wasting people's time. Save your hearing, time and hassle by learning from the mistakes of others.
