Better than expected though.

I am really very impressed with the quality of this KVM. It's a lot smaller than the last one I had, about the length of a human hand (well, my hand anyway) and less than an inch thick. It is well packaged and comes with good cables. Several people have complained about the beep sound when switching systems. Personally, I don't think it's a bad thing, and certainly not that bad, to disassemble and remove the speaker. I think it's a very good device and for the price it's quite amazing, but there are a few downsides in my opinion which are discussed below. I have a TESmart 2 port connected to a MacPro running Mojave and an HP laptop running Windows 10 in the docking station. They are connected to a Coolermaster MasterKeys S mechanical keyboard, a Logitech MX Master mouse and an LG 34UM94-P monitor. The monitor has 2 HDMI ports, 1 DisplayPort port, a DVI port as well as Thunderbolt and USB 2 and 3. The native resolution of the monitor is 3440 x 1440 with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The additional shared USB port on the KVM is very convenient. I've plugged in a USB 3 hub and it works fine with a HyperX Cloud II USB headset and various USB 2 and USB 3 flash drives. KVM works well and I've had no issues with it in the past week of use. The downside is that both Mac and HP can easily drive a 3440x1440 60Hz monitor if I connect the TESwitch to the computer. The monitor still runs at 3440 x 1440 but ONLY AT 50Hz, although TESwitch says it supports 60Hz. All cables are 4K compatible and I don't use the Thunderbolt or USB ports on the monitor. Another thing is that while the beep is a bit loud when switching systems, I don't switch that many times a day that it's annoying. What announces is the brightness of the LEDs on the front. So bright that I put a sticker on the LEDs. darken them. It would be nice if the LEDs of the online and the selected system were different colors. but it doesn't really matter. I'd like one in red too, but I'm just whining right now. rzunimag.
