Perfect fit for our piano lamp to replace the 2 old incandescent 40 Watt aquarium bulbs (80 Watts total). With the power switch being on the top of the brass fixture, it got quite toasty with the incandescent bulbs; but with these bulbs, you can touch the fixture without fear of burning yourself. Hence, the 5-star rating for energy efficiency.The brightness is exactly what I expected - not too bright for this application. Also, a 5-star rating.However, I only gave a 3-star rating for longevity as an indication that their longevity is neither good nor bad as I have never used these bulbs before and I feel it would be unfair to rate them either higher or lower without having some time pass in order to fully judge their longevity.
