Review on MAG MATE WTHT01 Holder Magnet Torches by Matthew Mosley

PROS: I really like this TIG holder. It has a strong magnet. The magnetic base has a strong fixation on metal surfaces. The design is pretty helpful. Various pins allow you to hold the torch cable/hose or even the foot pedal or remote switch. It is available at an affordable price. Priced at $17-18, this is not an expensive accessory. It does a good job of preventing my flashlight from falling off the table. It looks and feels like a quality piece. NEGATIVE: I had to deduct two stars here. Firstly, because the edge of the holder is sharp. I'm more concerned about it cutting my TIG torch or hose than my hands. They appear to be stamped parts and probably not much is done with them after stamping. I filed the edges to smooth them out. The second star comes because I didn't get the bolt and nut to attach the holder to the magnet base. Have to remove it as it is incomplete. I've read other reviews and seen that this has happened before and can be an ongoing problem. I had to get fasteners to hold them together. GENERAL: While I like the design, price, and utility of the TIG torch holder, its performance falls short due to the workmanship and lack of hardware.
