Where to start: lots of bugs in my hometown! I got this because my spouse is new to my hometown where we moved to - he has MANY, MANY FAULTS (yes, on old streets). You ask yourself when you really need him in an unknown place, whether he will pick you up from afar or something. It's like a dishonest taxi driver! And there's no way to fix it -- if my husband misses the really penultimate and final turn to my grandmother's house, he'll still tell him to drive several blocks through her FIELD. NOT cool Garmin - where is the ERROR message that our previous model had? Your technique retreats! OMW, it's hard to enter addresses. The buttons are so tiny and print what's on top instead. This "feature" annoys everyone who has tried it. If you've entered a trip with more than one destination and that destination appears in the wrong order, you won't be able to change the order of the destinations, so you'll have to search, type, and trade the addresses again with typing frustration. it doesn't choose. I can't find any common buildings (like the school I work at OR the huge hall in front of it!)! It's better to pay for data on your phone or run google maps because you won't find your location. It also stinks looking for local beaches. You have 2 options within a hundred miles (okay there is usually a gas station within a mile). And it says they're 12 minutes away, but it usually takes 40. From experience I understand that the coves and those on the coast are FURTHER when the car is going, but Garmin seems to post them when the crow flies, and thinks our machine does the same. NO! In general, I was not a fan of the TOMTOM brand, but this one is worse. The steering wheel was from my old Garmin that I had while living abroad. Pros: The ball joint helps to connect and reconnect well, but if it's ever hot outside (five days a year in Maine) the suction cup always lets go and I find the thing dropped into the depths of my van. I'm not sure I'll mind if it accidentally breaks, it almost ruined my marriage!
