Review on Upgraded Aluminum Extruder by WINSINN for Creality by Jacob Seymour

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Rubbish, but I knew it was rubbish when I bought it

(I was fully aware of its shortcomings when I bought it). This is a kind of mixed bag, the overall production was good. Handling was good. I didn't have any ridges or anything like that. BUT the technique was sloppy. The big problem EVERYONE is complaining about is how to put it together - there are extra parts in the goodies bag and you'll be scratching your head as to what the INTENT for some of those parts is. There is a grub screw that is usually pressed into a piece of metal, but its purpose is to rest on the end of the large screw that holds the spring in place (below), the threads never being used. You don't even need it. Insert the large screw all the way in and leave the spring on. There are pin bearings that abut a threaded screw that holds the clip (you push to loosen the thread). It's hysterical and I'll probably replace it with a nylon sleeve. And the worst thing is that the 2nd gear rests on the bottom of the frame. There should be a puck here. There is also extra torque against the motors, be ready to change your pancake or NEMA 17 mini motor, there just isn't enough torque from the smaller motors to compensate. Overall, this is an average quality system that shows great potential if/when you overcome its many shortcomings.
