Review on 🍊 Commercial Citrus Juicer, Enameled Black by New Star Foodservice 46878 by Rui Hanson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Much stronger than flimsy electric juicers

Bought a house with 7 orange trees that threw ripe fruit when moving in. I had to drop everything and start squeezing a lot of juice! The electric juicer we bought broke early. They're only good for the occasional glass of juice. This old-fashioned hand press worked much faster and didn't break. Overall it's a winner, but they should make a more powerful version, including the following design improvements: 1. Should be about 10 pounds heavier, which will keep it from tipping over when the lever is pushed down - one hand had to be used, to lock it in place. . 2. The horseshoe platform is designed for a narrow glass of juice, not the larger vessels we need to work with lots of fruit. 3. The distance between the juicer and the base is too small, again designed for a small glass, while we needed more height to accommodate a larger vessel. 4. The lever has an awkward habit of falling hard on the back of your hand if you leave it up. There should be a latch to hold it in the up position.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
