For Pomegranates

I bought this to make pomegranate juice because I fell in love with freshly squeezed juice in Israeli markets. I don't like anything electrical and prefer well-made, solid mechanical devices. This one is exactly the same and very pretty on my counter. It is very well made and works well except for a small quirk. I'm sure that would be fine with citrus, but with pomegranates the steel cone pushing into the fruit should have a point, not a flat one. Other than that, it's wonderful. You still have

It worked great initially

I gave these two because I use them, but use them with care! This worked great at first, but soon the side screws warped, not holding the buttons in place and making them strong. You literally have to hold up the main handle when putting fruit in the juicer. Otherwise the top handle will fall VERY down! He hit me on the head, forehead and nose! I swear it almost broke my nose. Not cool. Even if you try to unscrew the knob again, it just keeps turning due to the deformation. I've only been using

Much stronger than flimsy electric juicers

Bought a house with 7 orange trees that threw ripe fruit when moving in. I had to drop everything and start squeezing a lot of juice! The electric juicer we bought broke early. They're only good for the occasional glass of juice. This old-fashioned hand press worked much faster and didn't break. Overall it's a winner, but they should make a more powerful version, including the following design improvements: 1. Should be about 10 pounds heavier, which will keep it from tipping over when the…

Larger than expected. More perfect than I expected. Really commercial dining car. If you have arthritis in your hands and are low on energy and like to eat freshly squeezed orange juice, lemons or limes, you need to have one of these. Just a few dollars more than manual juicers, which still require strength in your hands to operate. Cleaning is easy, I just wipe the inside of the top with a damp cloth and rinse the remaining pulp off the bottom two under hot water. flowing water. For the first…

Okay, but with a few caveats.

I just bought a citrus press and have made fresh lemonade with it several times. While my first impressions are mostly positive, I would like to point out a few clarifications that may help the next buyer decide between this machine and another. The pictures give the impression that you can stick a fairly standard jar under the water trap and that is misleading. You will need a very short glass (e.g. a Rocks bartender glass). Alternatively, I just saw one of the user pics in another review…

Make sure it's still assembled

I have a couple of orange trees in my garden. Oranges are not very good to eat, but they have delicious juice. I bought this juicer to speed up juicing oranges. At first I was impressed by the handle and the apparent strength of the juicer. It was heavy and felt like premium gear. After about 20 minutes of juicing I was a bit disappointed - one of the screws fell out. No problem, I'll just put it back in. Then I noticed the poor quality of the metal the screws are made of. The block itself is…

HOW TO SOLVE THE SCREW PROBLEM It was a great fruit press

Bartender Review! HOW TO SOLVE THE SCREW PROBLEM This was an excellent juicer that worked like clockwork. I bought it after some pretty good reviews. However, I noticed an issue with the screw mount posted in the Questions section. But since such problems were few at the time, I took a chance. We use them daily in two separate rods. After a few months, one of the screws actually came loose. I added duct tape like any good Irish bartender to restore the snug fit, it took a week then another unit

Great juicer when you're tired of sore hands!

My husband bought me this juicer as a Christmas present so it doesn't show as a verified purchase but I can assure you that he bought it for me. uses a Le Creuset manual juicer, squeezing with both hands. Squeezing an orange was fine, but trying to juice a thick-skinned lemon was a nightmare, and I squeezed water out of the lemons every day. All I wanted for Christmas was something better for my lemons! I considered all options. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a juicer, but I wanted…
