Great juicer when you're tired of sore hands!

My husband bought me this juicer as a Christmas present so it doesn't show as a verified purchase but I can assure you that he bought it for me. uses a Le Creuset manual juicer, squeezing with both hands. Squeezing an orange was fine, but trying to juice a thick-skinned lemon was a nightmare, and I squeezed water out of the lemons every day. All I wanted for Christmas was something better for my lemons! I considered all options. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a juicer, but I wanted something that wouldn't hurt my hands as much and make juicing easier. I looked carefully at all the options, read all the reviews and decided on this one. heavy stuff. And he's pretty big. I guess you have to like it enough to not mind the way it looks - and that's where I fall. Because let's face it: it's not pretty gear. It has an industrial look. It's very easy to use. You slice the fruit and center it under the press, then push the handle down. Sometimes if it's a really thick skin or a big fruit (like a grapefruit) you have to push hard enough to lift the back legs a bit, but I never felt like the thing could tip over. I used to hurt my hand with another juicer because I opened it to get the fruit out and the lid fell off and hit my ankle. This juicer doesn't do that - it stays open until you close it. Cleaning is easy - nothing "snaps" into place, but there are two parts that need washing. To clean it we remove the fruit, then remove what I call the "seed catcher" and wash it, and then remove the last bit and wash it. We let the pieces air dry and set them back. It's been a month and a half since I got the juicer and I can honestly say I've never used a single item in my entire kitchen that much and that much. How do I use this juicer. We leave it on the counter all day. We've used it to squeeze lemons, limes, oranges, and grapefruit, and it handles it all with relative ease. I haven't found any fruit he won't get juice from. The most important thing: No more sore hands! I feel a little silly worrying so much about the juicer, but I think I was just really dissatisfied with the old juicer and tired of the pain in my arms. I guess everyone isn't going to like the pain in my arms, but I'm also a violinist, so I *really* didn't want to keep using this awful old thing. Love love love this juicer and I expect it will be in our kitchen for a long time.
