On a very tight budget I have tried budget brands and even house brands from well known stores across the country. I won't do it again. These are filters of the highest quality, and they validate the axiom that "you get what you pay for". They won't crease or fold during use, especially if you take a few seconds to press the seam against the coffee basket before adding coffee grounds. Also, I like to support quality brands that have been around for years whenever I can. These filters bear the name of the lady who "invented" them long ago, and since the standard of quality has not been compromised for greater profits, it makes sense to continue supporting the company that makes them.
