My existing 30+ year old welder broke so the new welder has a completely different set of controls that I had to become familiar with rather than learn from the project In fact I have the necessary metal, but it must be cut and very clean, so I did not want to buy coupons to practice, especially considering the prices, but after thinking I ordered these, the material came quickly, good boxed and ready to go and it turned out to be more than enough to learn how to weld and get ready for a project.I almost gave up buying given the cost of buying,cutting and prep but in the end it was hard to argue with the reduced/eliminated hassle If they offer thinner material I'm considering buying a pack to have the Exploring possibilities of welding on the underside of my equipment to build skills and prepare for future possibilities.
