I'm torn. Technically this is a GREAT collar. It's sturdy, looks well made and is durable. The red is very bright and I've only charged it once since I got it over a week ago. So whatever he needs to do, he's great. What annoys me so much that the rating has been downgraded from 5 to 2.5/3 stars: The light inside only illuminates 1/2 of the collar. 1/2! In fact, it can be less than 1/2. While I knew it was in the upper mid range it's not right on the m/l threshold so I thought it was ok but that's kind of ridiculous. Since the battery and clasp naturally fall down when the dog walks, I can't see him in certain lighting conditions if he turns his head to the left and we follow the track. General. And the car too. Basically renders the collar semi-unusable. I fully expected the light gap (not my first lighted collar), but that sucks. For those whose necks are in the top half of measurements, take a large size and dress them up so you have at least light. The diode is visible no matter which way the dog turns. I *almost* sent it back, but I like to think I'm not that reckless. But if the company wants to send me a new diode insert, I'm happy to take it. It's really well made and appears to be of good quality, but the light insert needs to be significantly longer to ensure visibility. protect my dog
