Review on Cuisinart 726-38H Chef's Classic Stainless 14-Inch Stir-Fry Pan: Exceptional Quality with Helper Handle and Glass Cover by Tyrone Lee

Not non stick at all

I bought this wok about a month ago and have used it 4 or 5 times since. I've never been able to cook anything in it without the ingredients getting stuck in the wok after falling into the hot oil. I've made fried eggs 3 times and each time the eggs stuck to the bottom of the wok. In any case, the wok was filled with hot oil and it shouldn't have stuck. This weekend was the decisive blow for the wok. I tried to make a stir-fried noodle dish out of it, and the bottom turned completely black after cooking the noodles for about 15 minutes (while stirring the ingredients constantly to keep them from sticking to the bottom). The attached photo shows what the wok looks like after leaving it in hot soapy water for a day and then trying to get the tar out of it. it should be noted that this wok is not heated with a convection cooker. When I try to turn on the burner at maximum power with the pan up, it crashes and shuts off. This is the only cookware that does this on my stovetop. If you somehow see this review and it hasn't been buried by the mountains of paid fake reviews requested by the manufacturer, then run, run far, far from this defective baby wok. This is by far one of the worst purchases I've made from Revain - it will go down in the history books.
