to the big side; Works great as a wok

I bought it in March 2020 and have used it about a dozen times. I found them not only perfect in this role but also as a finishing pan for some pasta dishes like carbonara. Heat distribution is very even and if you're used to cooking in stainless steel cookware, you'll get predictable, repeatable results. Cleaning is fairly easy if you're familiar with stainless steel, and given the size of this item, you'll likely need to hand clean it. Mine doesn't fit in my dishwasher. This brings me to…

Not non stick at all

I bought this wok about a month ago and have used it 4 or 5 times since. I've never been able to cook anything in it without the ingredients getting stuck in the wok after falling into the hot oil. I've made fried eggs 3 times and each time the eggs stuck to the bottom of the wok. In any case, the wok was filled with hot oil and it shouldn't have stuck. This weekend was the decisive blow for the wok. I tried to make a stir-fried noodle dish out of it, and the bottom turned completely black…

Good stainless steel wok for the price with some downsides

4 stars because it's a good wok and I like it but don't like it. I have some complaints about this. First, it's non-stick because it's stainless steel, so look elsewhere if you want a non-stick wok. I wasn't expecting my food not to stick, I deliberately bought stainless steel thinking it would be a lot easier to clean than a carbon steel wok. What I wasn't expecting is that every time I cook and it reaches a certain temperature, some sides start turning black and brown even before food gets…

Don't light the kitchen, seriously, folks!

I was almost shocked by some of the reviews here, but I gave it a go and I wasn't disappointed. Below the negative reviews, you can see a whole bunch of negative reviews: Difficult to clean Heats food poorly Starts fire, etc. This is not the best choice for a beginner in the stainless steel world. Stainless steel requires special care when cleaning, but gives excellent results when used correctly. First, it's a frying pan. This is a cooking technique that uses very high temperatures and very…

Stir fry are different - ok once you get used to it - light and huge.

Further update: 03/19/2019 - upgraded to 5 stars. This is now my favorite wok. I used it daily. I almost never use my 13" Calphalon SS Wok or my 12" Calphalon Hard Anodized Wok again - every time I reach for one of the others I change my mind and go back to this Cuisinart. This wok is big and light, and once you get used to the way it cooks, you can't beat it. Of course there is something to be said about size - big is good. And weight - Calphalons have a hard time keeping up with food when…
