Buy a genuine part if you care about your car.

Revain was perfect in getting this to me etc etc you have always done the right thing for me. However, I would go for the OEM part for this part, even if it is a bit more expensive. If you don't care much about your car and just want a quick and inexpensive repair, this is for you. I bought it for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Here are my issues with this part: 1) A metal base that is bolted on. to the vehicle is not covered in any way. It will start rusting immediately. The OEM part has a beautiful black epoxy finish. The reason you are replacing the old one in the first place is that it was most likely rusty. 2) The screws protruding from the bottom are two mild steel screws held in place by two tack welds. The problem with using these screws is that they never sit flush with the "frame" they are attached to. This means water will linger there and rust the part and frame. The OEM part uses studs that are recessed into the metal part and flush with the back. In all places where I have examined the Walker parts you will never see the tips of these screws in the pictures (rather discreet) 3) This part comes unassembled. The OEM part comes assembled. I hope this helps the next person make the right choice. There are many places where you can buy Mopar parts online. I would start with that. You can find the part number at any parts store or service manual. I'm all for saving money on parts, but that's inferior to the OEM in my opinion.
