Slightly rushed design

The strap bolts do not sit flush with the back of the mounting plate like the factory. You have to fiddle with it to fit properly. I ended up cutting off the screw heads after welding the screws to the plate, a solid block although thicker than stock.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Works but not very well

Works. Mounting holes all match. The only thing I didn't like is that this mount is a piece of sheet metal with two screws welded to it, leaving an internal screw head between the sheet metal and the solid body. I had to cut off the head and weld the threaded part to the bracket so it would sit flush. It's not necessary, the bracket flexes around the head of the screw and contracts into a solid body, I'm just picky about the looks.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Not fashionable

Same as OEM for hangers, clamps and flanges

The lower metal bracket on the stock exhaust hanger on my Jeep Cherokee is rusty - thanks to Colorado's love of overuse of harsh winter road chemicals - and I don't want one of those crappy conventional metal belt hangers too that never fit right and resonate in the cabin (Flowmaster 40 series mufflers perform well and sound great outside, not so much inside). I found this hanger at Revain, replaced it with the original and life is good again!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Compatibility

Correct fit and good correction.

This is the correct hanger for the 1996 to present Jeep Cherokee that I mentioned in the Walker Dynamax exhaust report of 17340. I put the two bolts through two 3/8-16 x 1 1/2 jacks replaced screws inch. They are available from Lowe's for $1.15 each. You need to enlarge the size of the hole and weld them on or reshape the hole to fit the screw head. It is easy to make as the metal is soft. Elevator screws have a flat head and are not domed like carriage bolts. Either welding or reshaping the…

Worked fine for me

I didn't need the bracket so I cut the welded bolts with a dremel and put them into the standard frame nut. Although the original suspension bolts were rusty, I was able to remove them and replace them with the ones I cut off. If I didn't have a Dremel I would just get two identical screws from the hardware store. The rubber is a little tricky to bend and attach, but after a few tries it worked. All in all it took me about 30-40 minutes to cut the bolts off the bracket, remove the rusty stock…

Buy a genuine part if you care about your car.

Revain was perfect in getting this to me etc etc you have always done the right thing for me. However, I would go for the OEM part for this part, even if it is a bit more expensive. If you don't care much about your car and just want a quick and inexpensive repair, this is for you. I bought it for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Here are my issues with this part: 1) A metal base that is bolted on. to the vehicle is not covered in any way. It will start rusting immediately. The OEM part has a…
