I ordered this to replace a non-working 'Fontana' shower which broke down after just a year. I removed the old block, enlarged the hole 1/2" all the way around and put it in. All plumbing connects directly with no nasty surprises. The shower works great, the controls turn smoothly and easily, and the spray shape is great. not only good for RVs but we have this on the back wall of a small outhouse in our off the grid cabin Works fantastic!
