My elderly mother has a huge house with lots of drains; There are also large numbers of oak trees dropping their leaves in the ditches. This is also combined with a hot and humid climate, which is why she develops rotting leaves in her gutters. Let me post it there; She cleans her gutters every two months, but no matter what we do, she still has ants and roaches in her gutters. There was actually a roach in the ditch that was probably around 3-4 inches tall and apparently he/she is building little mud huts along the way. When I first saw this it was very traumatic for me, even more traumatic for my 70 year old mother who was cleaning the gutters on the stairs. We figured my mom would eventually die after falling down the stairs while cleaning the gutters (no, really). Let me tell you I got this and brought my shop vacuum to her house and tried it out and it was like the world had changed for both of us. I refused to use the "Blow" function because then we'd be flinging rotting leaves, cockroaches and ants around the world, so I used the suction function. It was impressive. You can't just slide it in and have a little patience and work on the top layer of leaves and move the hose around then you'll find it sucks all the time. The angle is perfect so you can actually get into the ditch. Seriously, life changes. I attached it to the hose, then used one of the plastic pieces to extend the hose and then the curb piece. Spectacular again. I wish I had thought about this earlier.
