I have an old SONY tape recorder. I had it professionally serviced at a place that does a really good job of bringing old vintage audio gear back to life. Well I brought my Sony Reel to Reel cassette deck back from the store and everything was fine except for an annoying hum that made me really sick. The buzzing was enough to ruin my enjoyment of the tape recorder. I used those cheap red and white RCA plugs that you get as original accessories with almost all new audio equipment. But I didn't know then that these cinch plugs are cheap and useless. So I suffered from hum and almost brought the Sony tape recorder back to the store to complain about the hum. So it happened that my brother had much better quality RCA cables and asked me to try it. I could immediately hear the difference in night and day quality as the hum was COMPLETELY GONE! So I really needed longer cables than my brother's, so I ordered a couple of these InstallGear 12ft 2-Plug to 2-Plug 2-Channel RCA Cables and they were amazing. No noise, just pure pure music, because; These are high quality RCA cables. Yes, the cables you use can make a huge difference in the quality of your audio and video. I learned this the hard way. Now you know better that these cables are worth the price.
