Weight: Each cage weighs 24 grams on my scale. The studs weigh 5 grams of vapor. Durability/strength: Regarding long-term durability, I can only say that the initial quality of these separators seems to be good. Their construction is very similar to another set of separators that I have used with no problems for several years. I have also easily bent these separators very far by hand. In other words, if you don't use too much torque when installing the bolts, these cages are unlikely to break. Carbon Layer: The cosmetic layer is fairly subdued and well done. Bottle Sizes: I tested these cages on my road bike for a week. In my travels I've caged everything from 16 ounce bottles to 32 ounce bottles. Not a bottle fell out. Even so, the 16-ounce bottles fit the cages fairly loosely. Bicycles, these cages are quite suitable. However, I would not use them on a gravel or mountain bike. Bottom line: I have cages that I spent 5x as much on and they aren't lighter, stronger, or hold bottles more securely. So unless you use very small water bottles or plan to use them for cross/gravel/mountain biking, I absolutely, unreservedly recommend these cages. 4 stars
