I used this on an old bike (93 years old) that had the original footplate removed. I really like that in the rear position it doesn't get in the way of the pedals when the bike is moving. When installing, make sure the bolts holding the stand to the bike are TIGHTENED, otherwise the stand will rotate around the frame (even if it's a regular oval shape). Also regularly check and tighten the height adjustment screws. From summer to late autumn they weakened and the motorcycle began to roll. Love the adjustability, lightness and how comfortable it is (compared to the original center stand).
