
For some reason I assumed it was a box where you keep your connected cables to keep out the rain. This is just a cover. So if the ground gets wet, the target will be defeated. It can also be blown away. Luckily it has tabs with screw holes, so I put the cord under the cover and screwed it to a square foot of 3/4" thick plywood. During a recent tropical storm, this installation held up a completely dry connection.
