These are excellent long pipe manifolds for my project (CJ 4.2 with 4.0 replacement head (7120 head)). Everyone loves this engine. I don't like it when others have trouble with their projects, but these are great! Yes, bringing this (or any other title) to 4.0 is no easy feat, so get ready to break a few joints. Instead of cutting the bolt (mentioned earlier) around cylinder 4, put it in first. Whatever you want, add this to your CJ head replacement project: (Pacesetter makes a long pipe head for a 4.2 head that comes out of the engine bay in stock form) I replaced the coupler between the Y-pipe and the 90 -degree arc cut . Added a 90 degree 2.5" spigot (mid and high ranges appreciate a 2.5" exhaust over the factory 2") to connect to the factory boiler location and the rest of the exhaust finished with 2.5". Yes I had to weld in an O2 connector and I can buy it on this site for $4. Yes the paint on this manifold sucks and the accompanying documents clearly state that it is not a heat resistant coating, just a factory anti-corrosion coating. Either erase with a chemical or sandblaster, then at will; thermal paint or ceramic coating for appearance. I hope this clears up some of the mishaps of others here. When I received these headers I just couldn't understand how they got such a low rating, they are good headers for the price!
