Description of πŸ”₯ PaceSetter 70-1190 Black Exhaust Header: Enhance Performance with Sleek Design

CNC-machined, port-matched thick steel flanges provide postive seal at the head and unrestriced flow into the primary tubes. All tubing is mandrel-bent, 16-gauge carbon steel for excellent durability. Available with standard black paint finish or optional ARMOR*Coat metallic ceramic coating. Unsurpassed fit and easy to install with basic skills. Gaskets included.

Spend your money elsewhere

Fits like crap. Thinner than factory. The O2 sensor is pointed at the transmission for some reason. Now I have to cut this piece of crap to make it work. '97 XJ

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not everything fits

otherwise excellent

Fixing on a screw was poor, the paint melted the first time it got hot, the gasket shattered in less than 5 hours of work, otherwise an excellent product

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Hitting the front axle

This header is very long, when I lift it it hits the front axle and is already damaged. Perhaps it is designed for an elevated jeep. My jeep does not lift, no mention is made of it being for a jeep lift

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • Some flaws

terrible landing had to change the collector tube twice.

terrible fit Had to change header pipe twice, driveshaft hit pipe when bending. also had to be cut and welded because the cross tube was pointing straight to the ground.

PaceSetter 70-1190 Black Exhaust Manifold

The manifold looks nice but the lower downpipe that comes with the long manifold will not fit into the muffler unless you pry it apart! It didn't match my exhaust so I have to take it to a muffler shop. It had a large threaded hole for some cars with different emission levels, I didn't have it. I called PaceSetter support to find out why they don't supply a plug and they said nine out of ten cars don't need a plug! Well mine did. But it looks beautiful! If PaceSetter wants a customer to be…

Update, lasted less than a year and burst right in front of the collector

Modified a bit on the '97 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0, cut a little on the stock exhaust and rearranged the lambda probe, then just welded everything, if you know what to do, the only thing that caused problems was the last two screws closest to #6. It took a while to get the bolt in, the last exhaust pipe was blocking the bolt hole but once installed it sounds very good and a slight increase in performance I am currently running this head with a high performance catalytic converter using a…

Excellent long pipe manifolds

These are excellent long pipe manifolds for my project (CJ 4.2 with 4.0 replacement head (7120 head)). Everyone loves this engine. I don't like it when others have trouble with their projects, but these are great! Yes, bringing this (or any other title) to 4.0 is no easy feat, so get ready to break a few joints. Instead of cutting the bolt (mentioned earlier) around cylinder 4, put it in first. Whatever you want, add this to your CJ head replacement project: (Pacesetter makes a long pipe head…

Great collection of titles!

Installed on a 1997 Jeep XJ Cherokee 4x4 with 4.0L engine and AW4 automatic transmission. They easily fit my head and fit perfectly. There were two "errors" during the installation. The first problem I had was installing the bolt behind the #4 main pipe (IIRC). I shortened it by 1/4" and had to use a combination wrench to tighten it. The second problem was figuring out where to route the extended O2 sensor wires. Using a 3/8" wire, I routed the fuel and brake lines from the engine bay and…
