Firstly, the instructions indicate different colors that are not included in this set. There are only three colors: yellow, green and red. When I first melted soap, 30 seconds was too long. it boiled. Luckily it's soap and could easily be rinsed out of the microwave dishes. So I would suggest melting the original soap for a shorter amount of time and then adding 10 seconds if needed. It says you can add flavoring oil, but it's not. Luckily I have the oils we used on hand. My daughter loves the set and loves this one. The soap is on the dresser shelf. I have to convince them to use it!
