1. A older model of this product allows you to rotate the unit for perfect alignment on the wall. In the new design, the block is fixed. It can only be swiveled with the supplied foam paper nozzle, which is placed between the device and the wall. The "Patch Helper" solution to the problem they created when they decided on the new design.2. The laser beam is fixed. The original design allowed you to rotate it 90 degrees, so once the device was fixed where you wanted it, you could receive both vertical and horizontal beams (one at a time) from the same reference point. This is not possible with the new design. You have to turn it off, remove it, and then reattach it to another surface to get the second line. It is IMPOSSIBLE to keep the same reference point.3. There is no tripod mount for this product. Nowhere to screw in the tripod mount.
