I welded the plug and unfortunately it must have been deformed because the plug now doesn't fit. As the previous reviewer wrote, he noticed that the description of the product was not accurate. The connector is not 12mm. I think it's M18 X 1.25 based on a digital micrometer and metric thread gauge. I'm ordering a tap to try driving the thread. But somehow it's IMPOSSIBLE to know which tap to use without a proper thread description. I'm still hoping to get this working. do on the cork what seals it with the pan. What struck me was that when I checked it for leaks by filling the pan with water, there was a tiny leak. After grinding that area of the weld and welding again. Now my connector won't go past 3 turns. So keep in mind that this is not a very easy setup. And (as mentioned before) the thread properties are misdescribed.
