Review on ๐Ÿ” Vive Shoulder Brace: Effective Rotator Cuff Compression Support for Men and Women by Marco Cervantes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It stinks at first, but after several washes the smell goes away. The mount really helped.

I injured my rotator cuff about a year and a half ago. I've tried both sports and home exercises, which has only made my shoulder worse. I have 5 extra pillows in my bed so I can position my shoulder in any position that will allow me to sleep at least a few hours at a time. I hoped the wound would heal on its own. I decided to try this shoulder brace as a last resort before seeing the surgeon. First off, let me say that when these braces arrived, they smelled bad. Couldn't wear because of the smell. I took the suppliers offer and hand washed it 4 times but I couldn't wear it. I made sure all the Velcro was in place, put them in two laundry bags and tossed them in the washing machine by myself. (I used too much detergent which made a mess.) I washed it 3 times to keep the smell bearable. Over time the smell went away. As for the corset that helped me, I've been wearing it for about six weeks and wear it about 18-20 hours a day, I always sleep in it. I've found that wearing it during periods when I'm walking a lot really helps reduce the pain afterwards. My shoulder is not 100% yet, but about 60-70% better than without the corset. I met a physical therapist and when she saw the brace she was worried my shoulder would freeze. As I said, I shoot him about 4-6 hours a day and work on the shoulder so he doesn't freeze. I've gone through it four times because of the initial smell. This update is 2 months after purchase. I wore this brace for about 10 weeks, about 6 hours day and night for the first 6 weeks. My shoulder is not fully healed but is about 80% better than 3 months ago. I've worn it so many times it's gotten sticky and sticky with velcro. I made the mistake of using a razor to remove hair on the soft part of the velcro and ruined it. I bought a second set of braces and plan on wearing them at least partially until spring to try to heal my shoulder as much as possible by spring. I really like these braces and have changed my rating to five stars.
