Review on ๐Ÿคฟ 290ft Stainless Steel Heavy Duty Multi-Purpose Dive Reel by Scuba Choice Diving by Andrew Webster

Unique use, worked well while rope held

I have a greyhound puppy and don't have a fence in my yard so I taught him to 100-200ft ropes (500lb paracord from Home Depot). After months of it wrapping itself around my legs causing me severe burns and rope scars, and spending 15-20 minutes several times a day untangling it to get started, I started looking for a spool to use. I have tried cheap large plastic extension reels and two types of diving reels. It is the heaviest, best finished and best performing. My plan was to remove the flimsy rope from it and replace it with flimsy paracord, but even though the rope goes through the feed slot, the paracord is so much larger in diameter than the one that comes with that less than half of the cord fits the real one. alone, so it doesn't work for my use case. It's a real shame because nothing else is as easy to use/manage. Maybe I could find a smaller diameter rope with really high tensile strength, but it's probably out of my price range. The included rope lasted a couple of weeks until it got taut and broke when the rope caught on a branch and my pup flew up (when he broke he weighed about 45 pounds and is now in his 60s and semi-adults). The handle is comfortable, hard but easy to use. The slide lock has 3 positions: stop, click movement and full movement. The clamp is ok, I would probably trust it (for strength) when my dog is fully grown. slightly back).
