Review on Heavy-Duty Copper Pipe Cutter Tool With Deburring And Reaming Functions - Cuts 3/16 To 2-Inch Pipes Of Copper, Brass, Aluminum, And Thin Stainless Steel - Ideal For Plumbing And Conduit Projects by Rick Gondoras

Flawed cutting design

Though it is well designed when cutting copper pipe there is a significant ridge left on the pipe which requires a lot of effort to remove so the pipe can fit the fitting. This is why the reamer included is for the outer pipe as well as the inner pipe. Reaming the outer pipe to fit the fittings adds at least 3 minutes to each connection, which for one or two connections is not a big deal, but when working on large projects this adds up. My old Ridgid pipe cutter never gave me this problem. I will be following up with pictures

Cons
  • Takes up a lot of storage space due to its size

No instructions but I finally figured it out. Put an extra long piece of aluminum pipe in a vise and turned the knob up to where the pipe was and then turned the pipe until I could see it scoring. Then keep adjusting the knob as the cut goes in further. Took a lot of arm power to cut thru but I did it.
